Completing an infrastructure audit can be a lengthy process, as the need to regularly review your data to ensure the data is captured and presented correctly can prove to be time-consuming and repetitive. These interruptions to IT staff can be disruptive to an organization’s day-to-day operations and can cause delays to other projects. Quite often, IT staff do not know of configuration changes necessary to optimize performance or if there are gaps in their overall solutions that could negatively affect them in the event of an issue. High resource utilization, oversubscription, improper configuration, or not having best practices applied can have a heavy impact on the business if not addressed regularly.
To alleviate this problem, Scale Computing offers the Health Check and Audit Service which takes the burden of regularly reviewing systems to identify any situational issues, responding to audit requests, and addressing them quickly to ensure the business gets the most out of its environment and valuable time.
Items included in the audit are:
Ensure VMs running on Scale Computing HyperCore stay online during manual memory upgrades with the Zero Downtime Memory Upgrade Service.
Scale Computing HyperCore’s resiliency allows a Scale Computing Engineer to safely modify each node running SC//HyperCore into maintenance mode prior to powering down the node — ensuring that end-users continue their workflows during the upgrade without interruption.
What’s included in the service:
The Hardware Refresh Service helps you move from an existing Scale Computing Platform to compatible new hardware so your business is online and running on the latest technology and newer hardware.
The old hardware is removed and the new hardware* is added in a dedicated 1-to-1 add and removal process so that there is no impact on the upgrade of the core cluster to the new hardware or the business.
What’s included in the service:
* This only applies to compatible hardware - not all systems can be upgraded like this
The Deployment Assessment Service is designed for organizations with an existing Scale Computing Platform solution, who want an assessment of the solution configuration and performance to identify potential areas of improvement or to prepare for expansion of their infrastructure. A Scale Computing Engineer will connect remotely to your Scale Computing HyperCore clusters via the standard remote support connections to conduct an evaluation.
What’s included in the service:
Additional connectivity may be required to assess the associated cluster switches. Results of the assessment and recommendations for potential improvements are delivered upon completion. The Deployment Assessment Service is available for up to five clusters.
The Kitting and Staging Service is fully managed by a dedicated project manager and engineer to guide you through the decision-making process on systems’ preparation for each site and create a scheduled plan. Take ease of deployment to a new level. Even if the site has no technical resources available, the service can schedule field engineers to unpack and install the equipment, configure local networking, and physically rack nodes, UPS, and switches, so that the nodes can zero-touch provision—allowing your centralized IT group to quickly have access to validated systems the same day equipment arrives.
With this service, Scale Computing takes on the project management work to coordinate equipment, ensure configuration consistency, shipping with the third party based on the project plan, and onsite deployment. This allows you to purchase all services directly through Scale Computing and not have to contract with the third-party vendors themselves - allowing for a seamless solution.
The Availability Quickstart Service helps you ensure the successful implementation and configuration of the Carbonite Availability software to protect one business-critical virtual machine (VM) running Microsoft Windows or Linux Server OS in near-real time.
This service includes:
Eliminate the risks associated with a self-install, missing possible critical configuration options, and know that your DR server functions and has been tested in the event of a true DR situation.
The Leostream Quickstart Service is designed to streamline the deployment and configuration of your Leostream environment.
What’s included in the service:
A Scale Computing Engineer will assist you remotely with the installation and configuration of the Leostream Gateway and Broker machines essential for your deployment. Please note that licenses are not included with the Leostream Quickstart service.
The Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) makes VDI solutions quick to deploy, easy to manage, and affordable—improving security, centralizing management, and reducing IT workloads. Quickly Install the Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS), create template VMs for automated provisioning, and deploy public-facing gateways for remote access.
What’s included in Parallels Quickstart Service:
Our Scale Computing Engineer will guide the integration of your current environment with your new Parallels RAS server. With a templated deployment, you will be able to deploy a VDI workload into your RAS environment. By automating the creation and management of VDI desktops, you can quickly bring your business into the modern work-from-home era.
