Jeff is the CEO and co-founder of Scale Computing. Prior to founding Scale Computing, Jeff was co-founder and CEO of Corvigo, a Linux-based anti-spam appliance, where he oversaw the company from startup through funding to acquisition. After the acquisition, Jeff served as VP of Marketing at Tumbleweed Communications. Prior to Corvigo, Jeff was co-founder, COO and VP of Marketing at Radiate. Jeff holds a degree in Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Scott is a founder and Chief Product Officer at Scale Computing, where he is responsible for technology and product strategy. Previously, Scott was co-founder and CTO of Corvigo where he was responsible for R&D, leading to the development of Intent-Based Filtering Technology. Prior to Corvigo, Scott served as VP of Engineering at Radiate. Scott holds a degree in Computer Science from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Dave is the Chief Revenue Officer at Scale Computing. Dave previously served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at EVault, Inc., and prior to that as the Chief Operating Officer of ProClarity Corporation. He has 30 years of experience in growth-stage software companies, including both small and large market capitalization entrepreneurial entities. He joined ProClarity from VERITAS Software in 1999. At VERITAS, he served as Vice-President of business development where he was responsible for merger and acquisition activities, in-bound technology licensing, and divestitures and the integration of software platforms. Mr. Hallmen served as Vice President, Business Development of Seagate Software, Vice President of Marketing for Arcada Software and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Artisoft, Inc. Dave attended the University of Arizona, where he studied Management Information Systems
Don Aquilano is the Chief Administrative Officer of Scale Computing. With decades of experience as both an operator and venture capitalist, Don has a deep understanding of both finance and operations. Previously, Don held positions at Hewlett Packard, Diageo, and the Boston Consulting Group and has been a lead investor, advisor, and board member with Scale Computing since 2009. Don has degrees from the University of Arizona and Harvard Business School.
Craig has been helping to lead the product management team at Scale Computing for over 10 years. In this role he oversees the roadmap for Scale Computing Platform including the award-winning products SC//HyperCore, SC//Fleet Manager, SC//Hardware and Platform//Cloud Unity. Prior to Scale Computing, Craig was the CEO and founder of FitQuake, Inc., a management software start-up designed to automate the back office operations for small businesses in the health and fitness industry. Prior to taking the entrepreneurial path, Craig held several positions at regional and national public accounting firms working as a CPA specializing in small business accounting and taxes. Craig attended the Indiana University Kelley School of Business where he studied Finance, Accounting and International Studies.
Dave joined Scale Computing in 2010 and is responsible for Product and Technology Strategy and Innovation. Recent areas of focus include Edge Computing, Hybrid Cloud, Containerization / Kubernetes, IoT, AI/ML, Computer Vision, IT Orchestration / Infrastructure as Code and Video Surveillance and Security. Dave brings over 30 years of IT Infrastructure software product management and technology experience having previously served as CTO and VP of Product Management for Double-Take Software and leading their product, technology and M&A strategy over the course of 13 years releasing many innovative products and patented technologies, Prior to Double-Take, Dave held product management and systems engineering roles with Seagate Software and the LAN Dealers Association (LANDA). Dave holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dan joined Scale Computing in 2018 and leads Business Development and Sales Operations. Dan has over 20 years of experience in the software industry and prior to joining Scale Computing held leadership positions at PureWeb, Clearwater Analytics and Microsoft. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Information Systems from the University of Idaho.
Marlena oversees the Company’s global marketing strategy to accelerate customer adoption of edge computing, virtualization, and hyperconverged solutions. She is an accomplished and results oriented leader with over 20 years of global marketing experience helping organizations reach their business, branding, and sales goals. As the first Scale Computing executive to be named to the CRN Women of the Channel list and the Power 100 list, Marlena has worked at channel leading companies Oracle, Veritas, Symantec, and Seagate. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University.
Scott Mann is a seasoned executive with over a decade of experience at Scale Computing, where he currently serves as the Global Channel Chief and Vice President of International Sales. In his role, Scott oversees the development and execution of channel and sales strategies on a global scale, including Scale Computing driving growth and fostering key partnerships. Recognized as one of CRN’s 50 most influential Channel Chiefs, Scott is known for his expertise in building and managing channel programs, including the Scale Computing Partner Program and Community. Prior to joining Scale Computing, Scott held key positions at a software security vendor, where he honed his skills in sales and channel management. Scott hold a a B. Comm in Accounting from the University of Guelph.
Kevin is the Vice President of Sales for Scale Computing in North America. Kevin has deep experience selling to the SMB-Mid Market across all major verticals as well as Fortune 500 enterprises. Prior to his time at Scale Computing, Kevin worked at technology resellers as part of their sales and marketing organizations for Millennium InfoTech and Intercept IT (London England). Kevin is a graduate of Ferris State University.
Joe is the Vice President of Finance at Scale Computing, and has been with the Company since 2010. Prior to Scale Computing, Joe co-founded various businesses mostly focused on financial consulting. Joe is a licensed CPA who also spent seven years in public accounting at Katz, Sapper, & Miller, where he specialized in audit and assurance services. Joe holds an undergraduate degree as well as an MBA from Indiana University.
Cassie Gilford has been an integral part of Scale Computing since joining the company in 2009. Rising to her current role as Vice President of Operations, she oversees global tech support, professional services, business systems, and operational excellence—ensuring a seamless and exceptional customer experience. Cassie is driven by a passion for building efficient processes, setting achievable timelines, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and cultivating a strong company culture. She holds a degree in Economics from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. Prior to transitioning into the tech industry in Indianapolis, Cassie began her career managing political campaign operations.
Steve is the Vice President of Engineering at Scale Computing. With over 30 years of experience in software development and consulting, Steve is an expert in building high-performing development teams and scalable enterprise systems. Steve was named a “Forty Under 40 Business Leader” by the Denver Business Journal in 2009. Previously, Steve spent seven years at Billtrust helping to grow their Accounts Receivable automation suite both organically and through acquisition. Prior to that, Steve helped grow Amadeus Consulting, holding various positions, from being the first developer to CTO. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Cum Laude, from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
Johan is the Vice President and Managing Director for Scale Computing in EMEA. Johan previously served as Vice President International for Springpath Inc. (acquired by Cisco) and prior to that as Vice President EMEA for Evault Inc., a Seagate company. He has over 30 years’ experience, building early stage and mature companies. Before joining Evault, Johan built and managed the global Duet team while Director for Microsoft Office Business Applications in EMEA. Prior to joining Microsoft, he founded and led international operations for ProClarity (acquired by Microsoft), a global business intelligence software provider (acquired by Microsoft in 2006). Earlier, Johan served in various management roles at a technology reseller and distributor.
